## Step 1: Choose the Type of DSC

There are three types of Digital Signature Certificates in India:

1. Class 1 – For individuals, used for email verification.

2. Class 2 – For business professionals (e.g., directors, company signatories).

3. Class 3 – For high-security purposes like e-tendering, online bidding, and government applications.

Most businesses and professionals require Class 2 or Class 3 DSC.

Step 3: Submit Required Documents

For Individuals:

- Authorized Signatory’s ID & Address Proof

Step 4: Online Application & Verification

1. Fill the DSC application form on the CA’s website.

3. Complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC or in-person verification (IPV) if required.

Step 5: Payment & DSC Generation

- Pay the DSC fee (varies by type & validity period).

- After verification, the DSC will be generated and sent via email.

Step 6: Install the DSC

1. Download the DSC file (usually `.pfx` or `.cer` format).
